London After Climate Change; New Museum of London Exhibit
If you're headed to London between now and March 6, 2011, drop by the Musuem of London and check out the new "London Futures" exhibit that features two artists' renditons of what the city will be like when global warming gets real serious. The "Postcards from the Future" depict a very different London than today.
Artists Robert Graves and Didier Madoc-Jones show the heart of London looking like Venice, the steeds in the Horse Guards Parade have been replaced by camels (the better to handle the heat), and rice paddies surround Parliament Square.

So what is their timeline prediction for this water-covered London? I predict we'll experience a cool-down before things get like this.

I am trying to track down a reference recently made on one of Rudy Maxa's travel shows on PBS about staying in hisotrical flats in London for longer vacation stays. Does anyone know which group this is or how to get in touch with the appropriate people? Thanks.

I wish I have seen this exhibit, I am sure it was great. The pictures are very interesting, guards on camels or slums in elite districts, not very nice perspectives... neither is whole city being underwater...
